Gus Van Sant è regista di "Don't Worry", film su ragazzo tetraplegico.
Gus Van Sant è al lavoro al nuovo film, dal titolo “Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot”.
La vicenda ruota attorno a John Callahan (Joaquin Phoenix), che a 21 anni dopo un incidente d’auto resta paralizzato. Il giovane però non demorde, e comincia dipingere come forma di terapia.
Nel cast ci sono anche Jonah Hill, Rooney Mara, con una produzione affidata a Anonymous Content e FilmNation Entertainment. John Michael Callahan è stato realmente un fumettista, artista e musicista che h vissuto a Portland, noto per affrontare soggetti macabri e disabilità fisiche.
Gus Van Sant ha vinto la Palma d'oro al Festival di Cannes 2003 per “Elephant”.
