The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun è il nuovo film diretto dal premio Oscar Peter Jackson ("Lo Hobbit", "Il signore degli anelli"), prodotto da Steven Spielberg ("Il gigante gentile") e scritto da Anthony Horowitz. Nel doppiaggio potrebbero essere ancora coinvolti Andy Serkis e Jamie Bell.

Trama del film The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun. Il film è il sequel di Le avventure di Tintin – Il segreto dell'unicorno e, come quest'ultimo, sarà girato in motion capture. Dovrebbe essere basato sugli albi a fumetti Le sette sfere di cristallo e Il tempio del sole, in lingua originale "The Seven Crystal Balls" e "Prisoners of the Sun". In questi volumi Tintin si reca in Perù per salvare il professor Calculus, tenuto in ostaggio da dei rapitori.

Cast del film The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun. È molto probabile che Bell e Serkis riprenderanno i ruoli di Tintin e del Capitano Haddock. Il giovane e intraprendente reporter Tintin nasce nel 1929 come personaggio dei fumetti creati dall'autore belga Hergé.
