The Last Duel è il nuovo film drammatico in fase di produzione, diretto da Ridley Scott. La trama è ambientata nel 1300 in Francia, durante la guerra dei cent'anni. Il re Carlo VI di Valois dichiara che il cavaliere Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) risolva la disputa con il suo scudiero Jacques LeGris (Adam Driver) sfidandolo a duello.

Nel cast ci sono anche Jodie Comer che interpreta Marguerite, la moglie di Jean de Carrouges; Ben Affleck, Harriet Walter, Nathaniel Parker (nel ruolo di Sir Robert D'Thibouville) e Sam Hazeldine. La sceneggiatura è degli stessi Affleck, Damon cui si è unito Nicole Holofcener, ed è tratta dal romanzo di Eric Jager in cui si racconta il duello di Dio, l'ultimo dei duelli giudiziari che ebbero luogo in Francia. La produzione è della Pearl Street Films, Scott Free Productions di Ridley Scott e Twentieth Century Fox.
