Super Mario Bros è il film d’animazione in fase di produzione. La trama segue l’idraulico di nome Mario che viaggia attraverso un labirinto sotterraneo con suo fratello Luigi, cercando di salvare una principessa catturata.

Nel cast c’è Chris Pratt che dà la voce a Mario: l’attore è al cinema con Jurassic World: Dominion e sarà nella serie tv The Terminal List. Charlie Day (la serie tv C'è sempre il sole a Philadelphia) dà la voce a Luigi, mentre Anya Taylor-Joy (Amsterdam) è la principessa Beach. Jack Black (Jumanji: The Next Level) interpreta Bowser, mentre Seth Rogen (la serie tv Invincible) è Donkey Kong.
